My name is Louis Pavan, and I have had the pleasure of working with the Waismann Method for 12 years. I began my career working with individuals in need of physical assistance as a volunteer and have continued in a professional capacity throughout my employment and formal education. I am at ease communicating with all levels of personnel, clients and their families and find the fields of both addiction counseling/treatment and human services to be both personally rewarding and challenging.

My background consists of a variety of different professional capacities. As a crisis intervention counselor, my role included being responsible for assessing and triaging a substantial volume of mental health and contract calls. Including, providing counseling and support to individuals in need and intervention for those at risk.

From that position, I took employment as a case manager in a long-term drug and alcohol treatment facility. Furthermore, I also provided case management and counseling services to males within the legal system, whose primary diagnosis was substance abuse. My duties included individual and group counseling sessions, treatment plans, reviews, intake and discharge planning.

I obtained my position as a clinical patient assistant with the Waismann Method and Domus Retreat, in May of 2006. I was able to attain my counseling certification through the state of California and have been certified as a counselor since 2012.

Serving our clients has been a wonderful experience both personally and professionally. I look forward to continuing serving in a helpful capacity with the Waismann Method for years to come.
