Arnold Carreon is a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor, CDAC II, with over 10 years of experience in mental illness and addiction treatment. He earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and established a rewarding health and fitness career, until a life crisis forced him to reevaluate his lifestyle choices. Depression and addiction became a self-inflicted jail sentence. After years of failed attempts in psychotherapy, pharmaceutical treatment, and 12-step support groups, Arnold began his journey into the meditative arts of Taijiquan rewarding him with the skills to practice patience, maintain a center and focus his discipline into something greater than himself. Thus, he began the mission to become certified in drug and alcohol counseling to truly understand the origin of his depression and addictive behavior. After 10+ years of experience working with mental illness and addiction in a psychiatric hospital and 15 years of the study of taijiquan, he draws upon these broad sets of skills to treat clients more holistically and comprehensively.
